Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin
The starship class in backpacking - Don't Panic!
Meet the Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin – the starship of backpacker accommodation in central Berlin Mitte. Inspired by Douglas Adams’s Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, we are well equipped with rentable Sens-O-Matic sunglasses, a bar that makes the best Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters this side of Ursa Minor Beta, and of course towels.
Our receptionists always have Babel fish in their ears and all our doors are extremely cheerful, making an unpleasant stay infinitely improbable. So whether you are searching for the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything or just want to have a good time in a Berlin Hostel and meet some really hoopy froods, hitch a ride on the Heart of Gold and you can’t go wrong. If none of this means anything to you, take it from the Guide: DON’T PANIC.
The Heart of Gold Hostel may look a bit like a spaceship stolen by the two-headed president of the galaxy, but it is mostly harmless. Since launching in 2003, we have made not only interplanetary hitchhikers, but sentient beings of all kinds feel at home away from home. We have dorm rooms in all shapes and sizes, including the famed MegaDorm.
For those who would rather have some privacy, there are singles, doubles and triples, some with private bathrooms. After enjoying our plentiful breakfast buffet, which is available until 12 o’clock, walk to the nearby historic sites, museums and shops. Go on a free walking tour of Berlin that starts right at the hostel reception or rent a bike from us and explore the city on your own.
Take a break in our bar, where we serve local beer on tap and play only good music (whatever that is), or in the spacious courtyard with tables and patio umbrellas. Hang out, relax, play a little pool, make some new friends or use the free Wi-Fi to keep in touch with friends back home.
If you want to top it all off by hitting Berlin’s amazing nightlife, the bars, restaurants and clubs are not far away. Whatever brings you to Germany’s capital, make your stay a memorable one by choosing the Heart of Gold Hostel.
